Meet Jennifer Gu, Founder of Melody Lake Lodge
Jennifer Gu is a healthcare professional, U.S. Army veteran, and experienced caregiver with more than 15 years of experience in patient care, home care, healthcare administration, case management, and residential health and safety. She holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, as well as an Associate of Science in Health Sciences.
Jennifer’s professional background includes working as a Care Coordinator and Home Health Aide, Independent Living Skills Trainer, Camp Health Administrator, Medical Assistant, and enlisted U.S. Army healthcare provider. Throughout her career, she has supported older adults, individuals with disabilities, children, and people with neurological conditions. Her experience includes medication reminders, meal preparation, appointment transportation, personal care support, patient intake, vital signs, electronic health record documentation, safety oversight, and helping clients maintain greater independence.
Jennifer also completed the core nursing coursework in SUNY Sullivan’s Registered Nursing program. Her additional training and credentials include U.S. Army healthcare provider training at Fort Sam Houston, New York State Emergency Medical Technician training, Home Health Aide certification, and CPR/AED training.
As the founder of Melody Lake Lodge, Jennifer combines her clinical experience, administrative education, and compassionate approach to create a safe, comfortable, and family-style home for adults who need assistance with daily living. She is committed to treating every resident with dignity, patience, respect, and individualized attention while helping them remain as independent as possible.
